Our Coronavirus statement:

The First Baptist Church of Kenmore is committed to the health and well-being of our entire congregation, and surrounding community. As such, we are closely monitoring the ongoing COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak according to the guidelines and recommendations of the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) We'd like to share with you the action we are taking to assure the continued health of our congregation. We have advised our congregation regarding proper hand washing and personal hygiene. We have added hand sanitizer in many areas. We have encouraged those who exhibit flu-like systems to remain home and take advantage of our live-stream option. We will be disinfecting all door knobs, push plates, and surface touch areas, before and after every service. We will also be encouraging our congregation to avoid shaking hands at this time, and instead greeting each other with a "Baptist Fist Bump". Lastly, realize our financial obligations will continue to have to be met. We encourage you to mail, or use online giving if you are unable to attend services. Remember, Jesus is still on the throne, and he is watching over us at this time.

A word from Pastor Grimaldi about Coronavirus:

Worried about the Coronavirus? Mathew 6:25-34 25 ¶ Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Thereforetake no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. 1. Christians should not worry Php 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. The word “worry” is derived from an old Anglo-Saxon word meaning to strangle or to choke. 2. Christians have the comfort of prayer. 1Pe 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 3. Christians have God’s word to guide them through troubled times. Ps 56:4 In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. 4. Worry wastes our time. A doctor once made a catalog of the worries of his patients. He found that 40% of them worried over things which never happened. And 30% of the worries were over past matters which were now beyond their control. Then 12% were anxious over their health, although their only illness was in their imagination. And 10% worried over their families and friends and neighbors, although in most cases these people were endowed with enough common sense to look after themselves. Finally, only 8% of the worries had real causes which needed attention. If the doctor’s analysis was correct, nine-tenths of our worries are entirely useless and are unworthy of concern. Ps 42:11 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, [who is] the health of my countenance, and my God. Lu 10:40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. 41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: 42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. 5. Faith will either conquer our fear or Fear will conquer our Faith Ps 56:3 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. Php 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Heb 13:5 …I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Mt 8:26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. Conclusion: Said the Robin to the Sparrow: “I should really like to know, Why these anxious human beings, Rush around and worry so?” Said the Sparrow to the Robin. “Friend, I think that it must be That they have no Heavenly Father Such as cares for you and me.
