Church Picnic

We will be hosting a church-wide picnic on Friday, August 13 at 6:30pm. There will be games and activities for all ages – even a special area for our Senior Saints. The church is providing the hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks, but feel free to bring along a side or dessert. If you have any questions, please call Lauren at the church. We’ll look forward to seeing you there!

Book & School Supplies Sale

This Sunday evening, August 1 we will be having a sale in the gymnasium to clean out items from the school. There will be books, teaching aids, curriculum, encyclopedia sets, desks, lockers, computers, and other miscellaneous items for sale.

Mary Ayers’ Dad

Please be in prayer for Mary Ayers’ dad. They believe he had a heart attack on Tuesday evening, July 27. He is in very serious condition.

Meeting for Teens Going to Camp

There will be a meeting with Bro. Snow for all teens going to camp and their parents after the service on Wednesday, July 28.

Cindy Hrycyk and Elmer White

Please pray for Cindy Hrycyk who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Cindy is Bro. Brad Miller’s sister.

Please pray for Elmer White who is also suffering from cancer. Elmer is Mrs. Debbie White’s brother-in-law.

Blue Denim and Lace Awards Ceremony

The Blue Denim and Lace Club will have their annual awards ceremony during the Sunday Evening service on August 1. The junior girls will be singing and quoting the Scripture passage they memorized this past term; they will also have their handcrafts and projects out for display.

Church Work Day

This Friday, July 23 we will be working on the landscaping around the church property. If you can help out at all – even for just a little bit of time – we would love to see you! We will begin working at 8:00am. Please call the church office if you have any questions.

Homegoing Service for Jim Sherman

Bro. Sherman passed away Sunday evening, July 11. The funeral arrangements are as follows:

Burial with military honors will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 10175 Rawiga Road in Rittman on Tuesday, July 20 at 11:00am.

The Homegoing Service will begin at 1:00pm here at the church the same day. Immediately following the service a dinner will be served in the gymnasium.

Please remember to keep the Sherman and Topa families in your prayers during this time.

Young at Heart Activity

All Senior Saints age 50 and older are invited to come out for a great afternoon of food and fellowship this Thursday, July 15. Meet at the Ryan’s Steakhouse on Arlington Road at 1:30pm. Please call Bro. Roy Conley if you have any questions.

Jon Slabaugh Ordination

We will be having a special ordination service on Sunday evening, July 25 at 6:00pm for Jon Slabaugh. Jon is a 2010 graduate of Commonwealth Baptist College in Lexington, Kentucky, and has been traveling this summer with Evangelist Dennis Corle. You won’t want to miss this special time!
