Ayers, Abbott Families Need Your Prayers

Please remember the Eric Ayers family in your prayers. This past weekend, Eric’s grandmother passed away and his mother was diagnosed with cancer. Also, Eric and Mary’s daughter Sam will be having major knee surgery Wednesday, June 24 at Mercy Medical in Canton.

Continue to pray for Dale and Kim Abbott; Dale was admitted to the hospital Tuesday evening, June 23. He is in the Cardiac Care Unit at Akron City, Room 103.

Free Car Wash!

The teens are sponsoring a FREE car wash (donations accepted of course!) on Friday, June 26 in the church parking lot from 3:00 – 6:30pm. All proceeds will help pay for expenses for summer camp.

Happy Anniversary to Bill and Delores Boldry!

Congratulations to Pa and Ma Boldry who celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary this past week! We love you!

Please Pray for Preacher

Remember to be in prayer for Preacher and Mrs. Fox as Preacher goes in for out-patient surgery this Wednesday, June 17. The procedure is scheduled for 8:30 am. The doctors will be removing part of the toe that has been giving him so much trouble lately.  Pray that everything goes well, and that Preacher heals quickly.

Please be in prayer for Rick and Brenda Lieghley as Brenda is dealing with some serious health issues.

Please pray for Dale Abbott

Please be in prayer for Dale and Kim Abbott. Dale is struggling with some health issues, and if they don’t improve by Thursday, the doctors plan to put him on major doses of antibiotics.

Please pray for Ryan Settlemoir

Please be in prayer for Ryan Settlemoir. He is in the University of Michigan Hospital at Ann Arbor. The doctors have diagnosed Ryan with what they fear is a severe case of swine flu. Ryan’s brother Chris is an assistant pastor at Antioch Baptist Church in Warren, Michigan.

UPDATE: Ryan went to Heaven early Friday morning, June 12. Please continue to be in prayer for his family.

Congratulations Justin Riemenschneider!

Congrats to First Baptist Academy’s 2009 graduate Justin Riemenshneider. During his graduation speech on Wednesday, June 3, Justin thanked his family and teachers for their investment in his life, and also admonished the student body to not lose today while worrying about tomorrow. Justin is planning on attending Commonwealth Baptist College in Lexington, Kentucky.
